My belief about Business Education...
Business educations role in the general education process is extremely valuable. Business affects every aspect of a persons life. Students are afforded an opportunity to learn firsthand how business affects their lives and how they can benefit from the business world. This helps make students become contributing members of society. Additionally, they learn life skills such as writing a check, buying a car, basic computer functions as well as becoming knowledgeable of the law. By enrolling in business classes, students have the advantage of a sound foundation whether they continue their business education or apply their newly acquired skills in immediate employment. As students learn more about business, they can make business work to their advantage personally and professional.
Todays marketplace requires students to be ready to assume roles as informed citizens who live and work in a global society. Business Technology and Marketing Education teachers work cooperatively with the business community to prepare students for the demands of the 21st century society workplace.
